The following information is provided so that you might better understand the hiring process at the Library District: Vacancy RecruitmentJob announcements are posted at all Pikes Peak Library District facilities and Mobile Library Services. Announcements are mailed to several local public service agencies. In addition, openings are often advertised in The Gazette and other area newspapers. Professional and managerial positions are often advertised in professional journals, out-of-town newspapers, and library-related websites to reach a larger recruiting area.Closing DateEach job vacancy usually has a closing date. In an effort to be fair to all applicants, NO applications will be accepted for a vacancy after the posted closing date. Immediately following the closing date, qualified applications are sent to the hiring manager. In instances where a position’s closing date is listed as “open until filled,” qualified applications are sent to the hiring manager approximately every two weeks.Job Status NotificationPlease note that you can now check the status of jobs here or job posting board at the East Library. Candidates that are interviewed and not selected for a position will be notified by mail. |
